Desert Research Foundation of
Namibia. DRFN mission is to provide awareness of desert environments and enhance the
skills and knowledge necessary to manage arid regions appropriately.
Environmental Evaluation Associates
of Namibia. EEAN is a group of professional consultants, specializing in
environmental research and development in Namibia. They work with other
organizations to conduct assessments on proposed project developments.
Endangered Wildlife Trust.
EWT works
to conserve endangered species in Africa.
International Institute for Applied Systems
Analysis. Within thier population division, IIASA is working on
population-development-environment interaction analysis in Botswana, Namibia, and
Mozambique.
Save the Rhino.
Since 1990,
Save the Rhino International (SRI) has worked to ensure the survival of the rhinoceros
species in the wild by working closely with local communities and providing ongoing
support for wildlife managers and game rangers. Currently, they have projects in Namibia, Kenya,
Tanzania and India.

FRAME. FRAME facilitates the use
and exchange of web-based information for environment and natural resource management
professionals in Africa. This website provides analytical tools and information,
mechanisms to share lessons and experiences, as well as opportunities for linkages to
enhance collaboration among partners.
Tracker. Tracker is a database
which allows users to enter their own experiences from local resource management in Africa
or learn from the experiences of others. It aims to facilitate the gathering and sharing
of natural resource management information, as well as encourage work with local
communities.
